Supply of TN-12K Satellite Communications Terminals to the Chayanda Field Facilities of Gazprom

TELECOMNETWORKS company has won a tender for supply of VSAT TN-12K for the benefit of major Russian resource company Gazprom JSC. The satellite communications terminals supplied under this contract will operate in facilities of the Chayanda oil-gas condensate field developed by Gazprom as part of the strategy for gas supply and gasification development in the Eastern Siberia and the Far East (the Eastern Gas Program), which was approved in September 2007 by order of the RF Ministry of Industry and Power.

Equipment of VSAT TN-12K will be used under severe climatic conditions (the region of the Eastern Siberia is characterized by harsh continental climate with large temperature range: from -56°C in winter to +45°C in summer). Therefore, every component of the system will undergo additional check for thermal stability and fault tolerance.

As part of this program implementation in the East of Russia, new gas production centers will be created in the Irkutsk Region, the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the Sakhalin Region (shelf of Sakhalin island) and the Kamchatka Territory. A comprehensive approach, ensuring time-phased commissioning of facilities, is the dominant factor of Gazprom activities. The design work on production, transportation, and processing of hydrocarbons must be synchronized with a number of infrastructure projects in Yakutia, implementation of which will require funds raising from the federal budget. Quick growth of new power supply, network, and transport infrastructure is currently underway in the republic. Therefore, the embedded design solutions must be optimal and particularly account for gas workers needs.
