Bandpass, Low Pass, Harmonic Rejection Filters

Design
Using specialized bespoke modeling software and high speed computing power, customized product development timescales are remarkably fast. By entering specification parameters onto a computer the complete model can be produced ready for drawing within hours. The accuracy and repeatability of this process is most important and Andrew has developed and refined this over many years.
Manufacturing
Taking the computerized model, the final hardware is manufactured using high speed, high accuracy state of the art CNC machines. With extremely high tolerances Andrew are able to reproduce the design in many cases without the need for any post tuning. Eliminating tuning saves times and leads to a more reliable product in the field. Andrew is ideally suited to both low and high volume manufacture of filters with fast turnaround on customer specifications whilst producing high yield rates. Where most filters are specifically designed around customer specifications, Andrew has the capability to work with customers to offer a complete solution. New and innovative ideas are constantly being developed to increase efficiency of manufacture and to improve the lead time of design process.

Features
Particular features of the filters in Andrew's product range are the low insertion loss (typically less than 1.2dB), stability over a wide operating temperature range (130 deg) and the reliable long-term performance. Particularly stringent performance requirements can be accommodated, even at the highest operational frequencies.

Telelcommunications Filters
Andrew has been developing telecommunications filters for point to point and point to multipoint applications since 1998 and with over 50,000 in use around the world the company's expertise is renowned. Filters have been designed in many shapes and materials with a primary concern to efficiently produce and accurate and reliable filter. The filters are machined from copper or aluminum, then soldered or brazed together and finally plated or painted with a protective environmental seal. Each filter contains a series of irises and cavities in a precise configuration designed to meet the individual specifications.

Product Range
Typical frequency coverage is from 10 to 48GHz with particular emphasis on the microwave link bands centered around 13, 15, 18, 23, 26, 28, 31 and 38GHz. Development of filters outside these bands are possible and Andrew has the capability to design and test diplexers from 350MHz up to 75GHz.

Solutions
Andrew can also offer other communication components for radio links such as flexible waveguide to link the radio to the antenna and Hot stand by couplers to offer radio protection on key communication links. Also rigid waveguide assemblies, horn antennas, power splitters/combiners and diplexers. (Please refer to relevant data sheets for further information)
